My life has been blissfully simple for a really long time. I have a routine. I have friends. I have family. I blame them for the fact the only girl to ever ditch me without a backward glance is suddenly under my skin. I blame my father for the fact she's a new fixture in my life. Not that I knew that before I got a little overly friendly with my new stepsister. I mean, what are the odds? It shouldn't have been possible.
But it happened. It figures the one girl I can't get out of my head is the one girl who doesn't want to be with me. At least in my head she's the only girl who doesn't want to be with me, because I tend to be arrogant like that. The point is, now she's everywhere I turn, yet she's marking a line in the sand that she thinks I really won't cross.

Taming A Maverick is the 11th book in the Sterling Shore books. I have had the pleasure to read some of these books and let me tell you they get better each time!!!Salem White is my freaking idol. She is funny as all get out but completely a girl. I know, I know that stereotyping but it's true.. Wrong her, she is gonna hack something and make your life a little bit miserable for a little bit. Give her a case of the feels and she might just meet you with a pie... the before mav kind of pie... trust me you'll get it when you read this book.
Now, let's talk about Maverick... holy crap!! That's about all I can say.. I mean you have a guy, that knows he's good, and he means what he says and he is actually honest in what he wants.. its not his fault if you take it as a chance to change him.. you wont.
But then... then you get the plot twist, then you get some drama then you get some gut busting humor, more humor and oh yeah more humor. Throw in some shady people, amazing family and hilarious kids and you have what is known as the C.M Standard because no one can write humor like C.m Owens. I had tears streaming down my face from laughing so hard and I know I got funny looks from those around.

Totally set my alarm up for 3 am to start reading Mavericks story. LOOOVED THIS BOOK! What made me love it even more was the "drama/suspense/turning point" (whatever the hell its called) in the book wasn't the usual "boy pissed the girl off so she left him because of a misunderstanding" theme that the earlier sterling shore series has. Don't get me wrong, I love it and it's done with finesse but sometimes change is good. Not going to lie, I would find myself confused with Salem and Sean but I'm just going to blame that on my early morning ha!
CM Owens is a genius with these books. I laughed out loud and it's a true talent for an author not to overdo the jokes and make the reader feel awkward for the character. If you haven't read the series before, you must start from book 1. It will make you LOL and fall in love with the sterlings, Noles, claytons and everyone else in between. My favorites are still rye and kode but it was nice to see a different side of mav! And Salem is just the perfect match for him. She's his yin to her yang. (Cheesy I know but you get the drift).
First it was axles brand, now taming a maverick.... this is why I love her!!! Hopefully it won't be much longer for her new book! So I'm just going to reread everything while I wait to make the time go by a bit faster.

Suffice to say I've been anticipating this book for a really really long time. Maverick was my guy from the moment I first read about him early on in the series. He's hilariously funny, smart, handsome as yeah you get the point but he's also devotedly loyal, caring and honest. I wasn't sure CM could write anyone as perfect for Maverick as Salem truly was, but I should have known she'd prove me wrong <3
I loved Salem, she's just as hilariously funny as Maverick but also strong and independent. Sean was such a great addition to this book and he's truly a Maverick in the making, it's going to be great -P
The biggest surprise for me was Kelly, yes she was horrible and a real beep at times but the parts of this book that moved me the most where when we got to see the real Kelly, frightened and fragile. She really does love her kids even though she didn't go about in the right way, I truly hopes she gets her HEA too.

I love Sterling shore series. Its one of the best series, I ever read. It's always full of fun, craziness, hotness or tears, it would be from breaking your heart or laughing so much. And Taming A Maverick is no different. I love Maverick. He is another hero, in this series, who steals my heart. I'm warning you now, if you had read previous books, you already have a crush on Maverick, but when you meet him in his own book.... It's just impossible not to fall for him. He's perfection. Arrogant, sexy and full of ego, that all Sterlings has. But also is sweet, funny, carring and loyal. Like I said, mission impossible to be indifferent to Maverick.
